Over the past handful of years, I’ve spent a lot of time in Vermont and it’s become like a second home to me. Ever since falling in love with the state, I’ve dreamt of shooting a wedding in Vermont and capturing all of the charm that goes with it. Enter Erin & Chris, their Inn at Round Barn Farm wedding and we have a Vermont wedding photographer dream realized. On a warm summers day in Waitsfield, VT, they were wed on a beautiful farm property and set aside a lot of time to explore, adventure, climb things and meet some cows. Because when in Vermont, you hangout with cows. It’s a necessity.
My favorite part of shooting at new locations is really capturing the nuance and character that defines the area. When I think of Vermont, I think of sprawling farmland and perfectly weathered barns. I think of quaint little inns and understated beauty. Those specific details are really what makes a location and venue come to life and it’s always what I’m after. Thankfully, I was able to capture all of those. It was my kind of day. My kind of wedding. And my kind of people. Here’s their story.
