The Foundry Wedding - Long Island City Wedding Photography

WEDDING INFO
Straight class. That’s my first thought when I think back on Amanda & Mark’s Foundry LIC wedding. Sometimes a wedding venue fits a couple’s style so perfectly, you question if they are real or not. Just as an early spoiler, the answer is yes, yes they are very real. And I was very happy to be a part of this day with them. The Foundry, their New York wedding venue, is about as unique of a space as I’ve seen. Usually, I’m a sucker for an outdoor ceremony but the way the interior was styled, I started rethinking that bias quite a bit. I mean, look.
The surrounding Long Island City area was a perfect compliment to what the inside brought to the styling table. If you’re going to have a venue with the metal and brick feel like they did, you want that urban decor to cover your entire wedding. And it did. The industrial feel of the Foundry carried outside perfectly for their photos as if the entire block was made for their wedding. We essentially made a trip around one city block and we came back with as many photos as if we had spent hours walking the streets of New York City. If you’re thinking of giving Long Island City a look for your wedding, I can’t recommend this enough. Two genuinely great people got married, which made capturing this wedding even more rewarding for me.
