The Catskills always delivers. It’s science. Liz & Alex’s Kaaterskill wedding was expectedly no exception to that rule. When you’re able to combine the beauty of the mountains, raw elements of a farm venue, beautiful light and all the feels, what more could you ask for? Personally, I’d ask for nothing else. Actually, maybe horses? The property at The Kaaterskill was one of the most inspiring Catskills wedding venues I’ve shot at and hopefully that becomes painfully obvious when looking through their photos. We had acres and acres of land to adventure around and when horses decide to photobomb some portraits, I’m more than okay with that.
Alex, growing up in New Mexico, was a huge inspiration for the styling of their wedding and quite unique for a New York wedding. I love seeing the different ways couples celebrate their past and future and this was definitely a new favorite of mine. From the aisle rug runners to the seating cards and table settings, that incredible American West charm was fully on display and now I want to shoot a wedding out West (who’s out there???). Throughout the day, color palettes were on point, decor complimented the surroundings and overall it came together perfectly. Here is Liz & Alex’s story.
