Huge silos, vistas, barns, glamping tents, farm animals and magical pockets of forest. All of these great are great things and all of them happened at Kaitlyn & David’s Gilbertsville Farmhouse wedding. I’ve been lucky enough to shoot at some beautiful locations but this incredible piece of land tucked way up north in Upstate New York might win for the most well-manicured farm land I’ve visited. Somehow the rustic charm and feeling of being married on a farm was maintained while having those clean, elegant touches of a wedding present. It was a true marvel of a location.
Kaitlyn & David’s wedding day started how I strongly believe most weddings should: in glamping tents. It was such a unique spot to finish getting ready and made for a beautiful location to photograph. Once they finished up, we adventured up to a seemingly enchanted pocket of forest for their first look. I remember thinking as I was shooting, “Is this actually real?” A pinch myself kind of question that doesn’t suck to ask yourself. Day turned to night, a bonfire was lit and epic dance floor moments occurred complete with beard-hair (it will make sense at the end, I promise). I could easily keep rambling about this wedding but as usual, their photos will do a much better job than I ever could.
