Foxfire Mountain House - Catskill Weddings

So, Foxfire Mountain House wins for best wedding venue name in the Catskills. Or anywhere maybe? Anyway, this little slice of location perfection nestled cozily in Upstate New York was nothing short of inspiring to capture a wedding at. I’ve been fortunate to photograph my fair share of Catskill weddings and it’s just something that will never get old for me. There is always a certain relaxed and intimate aura surrounding weddings being held in the mountains and it just compliments how I work so perfectly. You get that sense of adventure. You get that comfort of natural beauty and pristine landscapes. And it just brings families together in a special way I believe.

Elena & Keyvan’s idea of a perfect mountain wedding was to keep things simple. Keep things relaxed. And most importantly, keep their wedding about the emotion. They did things how they wanted to do them. Skipped on certain traditions that have been done for years simply because they’ve been done for years. I always admire couples who can take the reigns on their own wedding and put together a celebration that is truly them. That’s when you get photos like I was able to capture below. They were focused on their love with each other, love of their families and doing whatever it took to get some epic images. And when it was all said and done, they danced their asses off.
