Danielle & Ely’s Westchester engagement session was adventurous on so many levels. We started shooting before the sun even rose, which called for a 4:30am wake up call for all of us. Our first stop was the incomparable, Alder Manor. Having shot a wedding there previously, I knew it would be a beautiful spot to start their session. After roaming around much of the grounds and having the entire place to ourselves, we kind of went next level with the adventurous thing as you’ll see below. I’m truly excited to be their Westchester wedding photographer. These two are my people. Not afraid to get dirty (literally), down to climb any object for photos and madly in love with each other.
During the planning process of where to do their photos, Ely bounced a somewhat crazy idea off of me. He heard of an abandoned facility for plant research just down the road from Alder Manor. Always wanting to try something new, I was immediately on board. I loved the clash between their romantic style & the gritty setting of the abandoned building. This was the type of place that if you were alone, it would be feel like a horror movie. Thankfully I wasn’t so it worked out! This session had it all.
