If you know me, you’ll quickly realize how these Westchester engagement photos were some I’ve been dreaming of making from the beginning of my photography journey. I don’t think I’ve been shy in talking about my love of the outdoors and camping as my favorite activity to do, so to combine that passion with a couple who shares this love with me for their engagement session, it was an immediate yes. The email conversation between Jillian, Danny and myself went a little something like this: “Jesse, what do you think about camping engagement photos?” When, where and lets do this immediately was essentially my response.
Not only were we able to make some bucket list Westchester engagement photos, but we also did it at a place that I personally love to go to all the time just to get outside and enjoy nature near my house. If I have a free afternoon and the weather is calling me outside, Ward Pound Ridge Reservation is basically my go-to spot without even thinking about it. The logistics of a shoot like this are a bit more involved than simply picking a location and setting a meetup time, so props to Jill & Danny for being game to do this. They booked their campsite and stayed over the night before so that when I arrived for their camping engagement photos, the site was prepped and set up so we could jump right into the shoot. It all came together exactly as I had hoped and would love to do this again with any other camp-loving couples in the future.
