I think my favorite thing about Brooklyn is just how different each and every neighborhood is aesthetically. There are overall similarities between each location but certain unique quirks and looks depending on which smaller part you’re in. For that reason, it’s hard to ever get bored of shooting in Brooklyn because it’s new every time. That and if you’re on the water, you get a neat little backdrop as well you may have heard about. New York City. For Sarah & Paul’s Brooklyn engagement shoot, we met up at their apartment, dog in hand/on leash and wandered the streets. It’s a pretty simple formula that always pays off in a big way, especially when the sunlight is doing it’s thing.
Doing engagement sessions where couples met and live always adds some extra insight into their relationship and what they’re truly about. Not just a future bride and groom, but real people with real lives. That’s what I love so much about Sarah & Paul’s shoot. This was quintessentially them with real laughs, real dog moments and some of the best golden hour light you can ask for. As they say, it all came together into a beautiful mixture of their vibe as a couple and a very pretty section of Brooklyn.
