When you have a groom from England and a bride from Houston, you obviously do a Grand Canyon wedding. Maybe not, but that’s exactly what Ady & Jess did 3 days before Christmas. What they wanted was the feeling of an elopement with the added benefit of their closest friends surrounding them. We started the day in a rented Airbnb house in beautiful Sedona, Arizona overlooking the red rocks. Then after a “short” 2.5 hour limo drive to the Grand Canyon, they were married at Grandeur Point overlooking the canyon. It was as breathtaking as it was windy. Oh, and Jess’s dress? That was purchased on Etsy from a woman who hand makes wedding dresses out of TABLE CLOTHS. Incredible.
The Grand Canyon is simply a place you have to see with your own eyes to understand the scale and absolute awe that it exists. A classic example of photographs not doing a place justice. But, this is why you travel and why you get married in amazing places. That feeling of being there cannot be replicated through a screen so I’m incredibly thrilled to have been a part of it. Whipping winds, perilous cliffs and all. I think I’m ready to go back.
